About U.S. Citizens Rights
U.S. Citizens Rights is an independent educational and research initiative devoted to examining the rights of American citizens and the responsibilities of the institutions that serve them.
Our starting point
Our framework begins with the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, and the Civil Rights Act. Together they provide a foundation for thinking about liberty, equality, due process, civic responsibility, and the obligations of public institutions.
Why education matters
A central focus of this project is the right of students to pursue an education in an environment that is safe enough for learning. Bullying, violence, intimidation, hatred, and persistent disorder can interfere with that basic opportunity.
We also intend to examine how new technologies, including artificial intelligence, could expand educational access, personalization, safety, and accountability.
How we work
We will publish research, analysis, historical material, policy ideas, interviews, student-leadership profiles, and practical resources. Some ideas presented here will be proposals rather than settled positions. They will be subject to evidence, criticism, revision, and improvement.
