Issues

U.S. Citizens Rights will focus on a defined group of public issues where citizenship, education, safety, constitutional principles, and institutional responsibility intersect.

Student Safety and the Right to Learn

We will examine bullying, school violence, mass-shooting prevention, intimidation, disciplinary policy, and the conditions required for students to learn effectively.

The Future of Education

Traditional public education is under pressure. We will study alternatives, including home learning, charter and private-school models, AI-assisted instruction, individualized learning, and new ways to preserve athletics, activities, and social development.

Civil Rights and Equal Protection

We will examine how constitutional rights, civil-rights protections, due process, and equal treatment apply in schools and other public institutions.

Antisemitism, Extremism, and Civic Order

We will distinguish legitimate political and religious disagreement from antisemitism, threats, intimidation, and extremist conduct, with an emphasis on accurate language, evidence, and protection of civil rights.

Student Leadership

Students are not only affected by public policy; they can help shape it. A future Student Activists Who’s Who will profile young leaders, organizations, ideas, and civic initiatives from across the country.
